Hong Kong as a city offers an array of diverse cultural experiences for its residents and visitors to enjoy. The University of Hong Kong is no different. With a student body of 30,000, and over 10,000 of these from 104 countries internationally, we have a lot of student artistic talent to show off.

The conference will showcase some of the performance art talent from students at the host university, HKU, as well as some guest appearances from our collaborating universities.

Following local tradition and courtesy of the Hong Kong Tourist Board, the conference will open with one of the most world-renowned and loved Chinese traditions: lion dancing.

Our Welcome Reception, held at one of the oldest buildings on the HKU Campus, will feature performances by an amazing student group called Global Diversity from HKU’s Lap-Chee College. This group is made up of poets, musicians, performers and dancers, who create artistic meaning on contemporary themes.

We can’t let you go home quietly! The Closing Ceremony will end on a lively note with high energy performances from our students.
