Dear colleagues,
We would like to inform you that we have decided to postpone the HKCPD Hub International Conference 2020 for English teaching professionals worldwide, scheduled for 10-12 June 2020 with pre-conference workshops from 8-9 June 2020 in Hong Kong.
We are planning to reschedule the conference to early January 2021. We will contact the 300 presenters of the accepted proposals about our new arrangements once finalised, and we will also reach out as soon as possible regarding refund or alternative arrangements to those who have already registered and paid.
To all those who have submitted proposals or have registered for the conference we would like to express our thanks for their support. We fully understand that you were looking forward to coming together and sharing your professional knowledge with the wider community. We appreciate the time and effort that presenters have put into preparing for the presentations. Like you, we have been working hard for over a year, and were very much looking forward to meeting participants from around the world. Unfortunately, the continued global spread of COVID-19 and travel restrictions worldwide will have important implications for our conference participants meaning we would not have been able to deliver the experience you deserve in the international conference we have been planning for you. The health of our participants is of utmost importance to us.
This is a difficult time for all of us and our thoughts are with you and your communities. In times like these, we all need to come together. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Stay safe and keep well.
Sincerely,
HKCPD Hub International Conference Organising Committee
