What are Communities?

Communities aim to offer collaborative communities of practice for ELC colleagues to share insights and best practices, exchange ideas and knowledge, solicit professional development support and work on projects together to explore innovation in key areas of English teaching and learning among Hong Kong higher education institutions.

What are the benefits of being a Community member?

Receive information and know about developments in your areas of interest through News

Find out about and join activities in your areas of interest through Events

Discuss with colleagues across institutions about the latest issues and good practices in your areas of interest through Discussions and Chats

Share, access, and download materials through Resources

Find out who shares your areas of interest or expertise through the Member directory to collaborate and explore new ideas with colleagues across institutions

Share your ideas and experiences through Blogs

You can also create your profile and search keywords

Community members benefit from information, news, developments and events as well as collaboration with colleagues across institutions in their special interest areas. Each Community has an email discussion list, a discussion forum area, a library for sharing resources and a space for publications including e-newsletters and blogs that feature content written by members. At the two symposia in 2018 and 2019 and the international conference in 2020, each Community will be offered a special organized session after review process and an annual meeting slot.
